Route Setting

Keep your climbers climbing.

Perhaps the most important yet often neglected part of a climbing build is the route setting (attaching the climbing holds to the wall). This determines the amount of fun and satisfaction that the wall users get. This skill only comes after years of practice and training, as it is closer to an art form than an exact science.

Our route-setters work at both local school and international competition levels and are able to provide interesting long term climbing challenges for climbers of all abilities.

Long-term route setting would be best met through a combination of:

  • Visits from our professional setters
  • Our site-specific route setting training day min 2 people max 6 people. (NOT SUITABLE FOR COMMERCIAL CLIMBING CENTRES)
  • In house route setting conducted by your trained staff after completion of the CWMA professional route setting course. More details contact www.cwma.co.uk
